Artist Residency

In Summer 2023 we will host our first artist-in-residence. The residency is without charge to the artist, who will be housed in an onsite, refurbished, vintage trailer and have 24 hr studio access. We are accepting proposals from potential residents on an ongoing basis. Please contact us for additional information.  Artists are responsible for their transportation, living expenses, food, and art supplies. We have shared tools and equipment that are available for a visiting artist. The ranch is in an urban part of Phoenix, within walking distance to a grocery store and a hardware store.

The ideal applicant will be a professional artist, who does not reside in the greater Phoenix area, and would benefit from the experience of exploring Phoenix and the extraordinary natural environment of Arizona. To apply, please send a letter of interest, 10-20 images of current work, two professional references, and a link to your Instagram or website.  Of you are a writer, performance artist, or work in film/video/sound, please email to talk about how we should best understand your work. We are open to artist stays of two weeks to three months. Email at rockingsartranch@gmail.com for application information.

ArtFarm is a collective of Arizona artists, founded by Christopher Jagmin, Mimi Jardine, and Patricia Sannit, with the goal is to develop the Phoenix art community by promoting and inspiring artists to excellence. We are committed to expanding opportunities for artists to find studio space, exhibit their work and to create opportunities for art to be seen and experienced in every community across the Valley.

By encouraging creative expression, thoughtful and positive discussion, promoting critical thinking, and examining the questions that shape and inspire Phoenix culture, ArtFarm envisions an art community that is thriving, visible and accessible to all.

During the pandemic, Art Farm, which now includes Lisa Olson of Practical Art,  organized three distanced exhibitions, Roadside Attraction. Artists from across the valley presented their work to the public in a safe. distanced experience.
